well. i am back in Arizona.  i have attended ART UNRAVELED..a whole week of art classes...interfacing with other artists..just had a great time.   took classes in metals...woods..and texturing.  Finally used that dremel i have had in the package for a year...realized what to do with all the patina's i have purchased with coupons this last year...and...totally reorganized my studio..so i have access to products i have learned to use and agreed to the Technique Chunky Book Swap..with other AU artists!

I downloaded some pictures of my AU projects i finished...and i really amazed even myself..but..AM I THERE YET?,,,,ha....

However, i have not finished any other projects listed in my ' TO DO" list since the classes in August...but watch out...more is coming!

I did..however..clean out the 3rd car garage...in 110 degree heat...giving over 8 boxes to goodwill..etc...getting congrats from my husband ...but yes, you guessed it..i for sure had a reason to my madness...i needed a place for that dremel equipment!!!!!  i mean come on....cleaning a garage in 100 degree heat...who would do that but someone PANTING..at the thought of more studio space..... 

My Beginnings

AM I THERE YET? THATS ME TALKING TO MYSELF FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS...

I BEGAN MY PAINTING CAREER WITH A SHOP IN SCOTTSDALE ARIZONA, FINDING, PAINTING , AND DISTRESSING OLD UNUSUAL FURNITURE..TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT..I NOW HAVE A SMALL SHOP IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA.

BUT...WAS I THERE YET? NO. I WANTED TO LEARN TO EMBELLISH THE FURNITURE..SO I NEEDED TO START SMALL..LEARNING ABOUT STAMPS, EMBOSSING..WATERCOLORS..WHAT MANY ARTISTS LEARN YEARS EARLIER, BUT I WAS NEVER INTERESTED...NOW...I WANTED TO GET THERE..FAST.

WHILE LEARNING ALL THESE TECHNIQUES I FOUND I WANTED TO DO MORE THEN JUST EMBELLISH FURNITURE..I ENJOYED THE GELS, THE TEXTURE GELS...THE RESIN..ALTERING JUST ABOUT ANYTHING....AND DECIDED TO PERSUE THIS ALTERED ART AVENUE...WITH BOOKS, BOXES, CANVAS, AND WOOD.

SO HERE I AM. IN SANTE FE, N.M. WHERE CREATIVE IDEAS FLOW EVERYWHERE AND IN EVERYTHING...I HAVE A BOOK OF IDEAS TO COME HOME WITH..AND..EXPERIMENTS TO TRY...SO KEEP POSTED..AND LETS SEE JUST WHAT I CAN CREATE ON MY OWN...AND IF IN FACT......I AM THERE YET!
