while in sante fe..as a guest of my son danny ( author of the best selling health book...the top 10 hazards in your home)...i met some great artists and have pictures....
Judi Goolsy lives just down the street from danny and invited me to see her studio...which sent me home wanting to redo mine...and make it my own! so you will see pictures of the before and after..now its more personal..i put in some personal touches among the STUFF which you probably have to be there to notice.
i also met again...Darlene Olvivia McElroy and Sandra Duran Wilson, authors of the new book Image Transfer Workshop.
i met them both in 2008..and again..they sent me home wanting to do better...try more..and watch for their book.
if you saw the movie julie an Julia..wll i plan to do every single transfer technique in Darlene and Sandra's book!!! i will keep you advised of each as i do them...
so. went home. threw out some old hand me down cubboards.put in some new ones...love the red 'glue cabinet'...pulled up the carpet and now await my 3 grandsons to come over and "paint the floor'...make it look like an artist really lives here...or there really is an artist? whatever.
meanwhile i took a little detour since mom fell..surgery, rehab...tough. i go to see her for lunch every day and strawberries on the porch in the evening..along with some sub stitute teaching which i am trying to keep up with...and of course..the usual housewife stuff....i have to remember there are more rooms in this house then my studio.
which by the way..i am thankful for....
just finished 2 more books for the hospital for teens..will take some pictures also.
well gatta go. leaving for my 50th class reunion in Ohio Wednesday and i have lots to do..
now i will try..try to download some pictures for you.
