WELL FLAPJACK CONTINUES TO AMAZE US WITH HIS RESILIENCE AND EASY DEMEANOR....AND THE GIRLS ARE STARTING TO GIVE HIM A LOOK....AS ABBY DID YESTERDAY...HELLO!!!

HIS PAWS ARE SORE BUT HE STILL RUNS BACK INTO THE HOUSE AFTER DOING HIS ' DUTY'..(exactly where he is supposed to) AND ON TO HIS FAVORITE PILLOW HIS GODMOTHER GAVE HIM!!

MEANWHILE I DECIDED TO GET BACK TO THE STUDIO AFTER AT LEAST 2 WEEKS LAYOFF...AND IN 30 MINUTES WITH A NAPKIN FROM MY FRIEND SANDY AND AN IDEA SHERRY SHOWED US. ( USING THE BACK OF THE CANVAS) .PUT TOGETHER MY CAPPICCINO BOX. THE CUP IS A CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT I NEVER HUNG...AND THE BEANS ARE REAL..JUST STALE!!! USED THE HANGER HOLE TO PUT IN SOME METAL BEND 'STEAM' EFFECTS.

YOU CAN SEE A LITTLE BIT OF THE NAPKIN IN THE BACKGROUND.

SO MY PROMISE IS TO FINISH SOME 'UNFINISHED PROJECTS'...LETS SEE WHERE THAT TAKES ME..SOME ARE 2 YEARS OLD!!

WELL. POOR FLAPJACK...NOT HOME 48 HOURS AND IN TROUBLE...

THATS MY FRIEND JAN IN DENVER WITH A ' WELCOME FLAPJACK BASKET..TOYS, BLANKET..FOOD..BRUSH..SO CUTE!!!

TOOK MOM FOR HAIRCUT AND THE SOUND OF WHEELCHAIR FALLING FROM BACK OF SUV..SPOOKED HIM...HE WAS IN HIS KENNEL BUT DOOR NOT LOCKED..RAN..RAN..RAN. WE LOOKED FROM 1PM SATURDAY UNTIL 9PM. EVERYONE HELPED. NO LUCK

SUNDAY JOHN WENT BACK TO AREA AT 5AM. WE ALL JOINED. SEARCHED EVERY SINGLE PLACE. NO TAG SINCE JUST ARRIVED HOME AT 9PM FRIDAY NIGHT. BUT HAD COLLAR . GRANDKIDS, FRIENDS JOINEDIN THE SEARCH....TO SAY THE LEAST JOHN WAS DISTRAUGHT!!

FLAPJACK IS SUCH A DOLL...NEVER BARKED..NEVER WHINED..SO CUTE. BUT OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED THE MAN WHO PICKED HIM UP..HAD LOST A DOG ONCE THAT WAS RETURNED..CALLED US AT 1:00 SUNDAY...WE WERE EXHAUSTED LOOKING FOR HIM..IT WAS A PRAYER ANSWERED.

BUT AS YOU CAN SEE..HIS PAWS ARE SEVERELY INJURED FROM WALKING IN 100 DEGREE PAYMENTS FOR 30 MINUTES AND THEN CROSSING RAILROAD TRACKS THAT WERE EVEN HOTTER...SO RIGHT NOW HE IS AT THE VET..HE STILL H AS YET TO WIMPER OR BARK..HE IS JUST SO CUTE..CALM. WHEN HE RAN..HE RAN SO FAST 3 PEOPLE TRIED TO GRAB HIS LEASH AND COULD NOT..AND OBVIOUSLY HE KEPT THAT PACE..BURNED PAWS AND ALL TRAFFIC WAS SLOWED TO 10MPH BECAUSE HE WAS IN THE STREET...UNTIL HE WENT OVER THE TRACKS..AND REALLY GOT BURNED..AND THEN WENT OFF ON A SIDE STREET AND COLLASPED, WHICH IS HOW THE GUY WHO WAS FOLLOWING..GOT HIM...HE IS A STRONG STRONG LITTLE GUY!!

SO WISH HIM LUCK..AND WILL UPDATE EVERYONE LATER!!!

hi...boy has this day flown.

well sandy,and I found ourselves posing with claudine Hellmuth at her class at Mystic paper along with 30 others...way too large a class..but we did take home some techniques to share!!!

my favorite was the vaseline/paint peeling...Lena was there...hiding from the camera but I did catch her if you look closely thru these pictures!!!

and in between I attended a luncheon with cheryl ( she cooked.I ate) along with Sharon and Judy..more friends..yes I am a lucky friend-haver..( new name I made up and of course the star.Jan.de'Atre..wonderful...fun...sharon, judy and myself! Yep, ate everything!!

the box...was a last minute birthday gift for cheryl because I have not finished her REAL birthday present...I think I started it a year ago..but heck, she will never know.........will she?

The red canvas with moms picture was a transfer..now I have to embellish...pearl necklace? lace trim? gold somewhere? transparency? I have no idea. will play with it for a while but promise it wont' go into my ' in progress' drawer!! I will finish this!

No mothers day pictures..son Johnny took them all..must remember to get out my IPHONE next time!!! But Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers! cheers.!

cheryls birthday

good morning!

Twas my friend cheryl's birthday yesterday...so...made her a box!

See Cheryl is also an artist..but she would have said ' made her a cake'..because Cheryl is a very

artistic cook and baker...and yesterday brought me yummie special desserts!!

I always worry about making an art piece for a friend...you want it special..but art is in the eye of the beholder and I used to worry, now I realize..if there is anyone you can enjoy making art for..and dont' have to worry if its not exactly what they would have picked..its a friend!

So to all my friends who receive my art..thank you...and if it not exactly what went with your decor..feel free to pass it on ...whatever makes someone happy...its just that I feel we are made

To create ..whether cooking or paint or writing or drawing...

and if you create a happy day for someone..just do it!

I purchased a book called ' Stencil Me In..seemed like some quality stencils, which we know sometimes cost as much as 25.00...and they were great. The inside is a stencil from that book and I used Ex Heavy Gel/Molding paste ( as written on the jar) and mixed it with Interferrence Gold Fine paint...left it over night and you can see how perfect it came out!

The flower is one metal flower torn off a metal wreath of flowers I found at a garage sale.

I gave one to Sandy and I have a couple left to share.

I glued the heart onto the inside cover leaving 2/3 of the heart unglued so a photo could be

put inside...

thats about it...some UTEE on the sides of the top paper , some embellishments on the flowers..and some small pots on the side...

and mom says Congrats as she raises her strawberry with whipping cream! Doesnt take much for mom to enjoy something!!
